How to publish a Squarespace website (go from trial to live)
Take your Squarespace site out of trial mode, pick a plan, connect a domain and remove the 'built with Squarespace' badge.

Step by step
- 01
Upgrade to a paid plan
Click Subscribe in your dashboard. Choose Personal, Business, Commerce Basic or Advanced based on whether you need a store.

Connect a domain
Either register one through Squarespace or follow our 'connect a custom domain' tutorial.
- 03
Check SEO essentials
Settings → Marketing → SEO. Add a site title, description and social share image.

Set the site to public
Settings → Site Availability → Public. Your site is now indexable by Google.

Submit your sitemap
Add your sitemap.xml to Google Search Console (yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml). Optional but recommended.
