How to publish a Webflow site to a custom domain

Move your Webflow project from the webflow.io staging URL to your own domain, with SSL on and the www/apex redirect set correctly.

Step by step

Add a Site plan
Project Settings → Plans → choose CMS or Business. You can't publish to a custom domain on the free plan.

Add the domain
Project Settings → Publishing → Custom Domains. Add both www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com. Set one as Default — www is the safest.

Copy DNS records
Webflow shows two A records and one CNAME. Keep this tab open.

Add records at your registrar
Log into your registrar, open DNS, delete any conflicting A/CNAME records on @ and www, then paste Webflow's values exactly.

Verify and enable SSL
Back in Webflow, click Check Status. Once both rows go green, tick SSL and 301 redirect. Webflow provisions the cert in a few minutes.

Publish
Top right → Publish → tick your custom domain → Publish. The staging URL stays live as a backup.
