How to share access or add contributors in Squarespace
Invite a designer, developer or team member to your Squarespace site without sharing your password — using the right permission level.

Before you start
- Owner or Administrator access to the site
Step by step
- 01
Open Permissions
From your site dashboard go to Settings → Permissions & Ownership.

Invite a contributor
Click Invite Contributor, enter their email and full name.

Pick the right permission level
Administrator (full access, no billing), Website Editor (edit content), Store Manager (orders + products), Comment Moderator (limited).

Send and confirm
They'll get an email invite valid for 72 hours. Once accepted, you'll see them listed under Permissions.
Troubleshooting
Invite email never arrived
Ask them to check spam. You can also resend the invite from the Permissions panel.
