Squarespace doesn't offer a full backup, but you can export your blog, products and pages — here's what survives and what doesn't.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Export your site

    Settings → Advanced → Import / Export → Export → WordPress (.xml).

  2. 02

    Understand what's included

Exports cover layout pages, blog posts and gallery pages. Style choices, store products and audio blocks don't transfer.

  3. 03

    Export products separately

Commerce → Inventory → Export to CSV. Save alongside the .xml.

  4. 04

    Save a PDF visual backup

Use a tool like web2pdf to archive every page visually — this is the easiest 'before I touch anything' safety net.
