Step by step

  1. 01

Get your host's IP or nameservers

From your hosting control panel (cPanel, Plesk, SiteGround, Kinsta).

  2. 02

    Update DNS at the registrar

Either change nameservers OR add an A record for @ and CNAME for www.

  3. 03

Add the domain in your host

Most hosts need you to 'Add Domain' in the panel before requests resolve.

  4. 04

    Force HTTPS

Install a free Let's Encrypt SSL from your host, then enable 'Force HTTPS'.

  5. 05

    Update Site URL

WP Admin → Settings → General — set both URLs to https://yourdomain.com.
