Transfer a domain to Cloudflare Registrar (cheapest, safest)

Cloudflare sells domains at cost. Here's how to transfer in without downtime.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Unlock the domain at current registrar

    Settings → Domain Lock → off.

  2. 02

    Get the EPP/auth code

    Each registrar names it differently. Email or display.

  3. 03

    Add the site to Cloudflare first

    cloudflare.com → Add Site. Update nameservers. Wait for propagation.

  4. 04

    Initiate transfer

    Domain Registration → Transfer Domain. Paste the auth code.

  5. 05

    Approve the email

    Old registrar emails to confirm release. Approve to speed it up.
